Made it Monday

This is the last day of my "stay-cation". It was so nice to have 6 days off work, I did a lot of relaxing, sewing and saw the BFF a few times. Pretty much perfect! Here's a sneak peak of what I accomplished. Some of these things will have their own posts later on but for now just pictures.

I made a bib as part of a baby gift for one of my co workers.

This sweet little dress for Julie. I am in love with the animal fabric and it was very easy since I used a t shirt as the top.

These house shoes. I'm really not pleased with but I'm going to give the pattern one more try.

Another little fishy zip pouch.

That's all for now. I am back to work tomorrow :( Have a great week!

Made It Monday: More Babies!

I've been really busy lately getting things done around here. I'm moving soon so I'm trying to get a bunch of projects out of the way so I don't have to move them, too!

I made these nursing covers for my best friend from high school (the fabric on the left matches the other baby stuff I made for her) so she has a little more freedom out in public.

I also made myself a leash bag for when I'm out walking my dog. I've been reading Cesar Millan's book (Be The Pack Leader) and am trying to walk him a lot more so that I can redirect his energy. I needed a bag to hold my phone and keys so I made this one up so I don't weigh down my sweatpants when we're out.

Another good friend is having a baby so I made a boppy pillow cover, a car seat canopy, and a cute little onesie for her son.

They're going with a jungle theme for the nursery and the car seat is brown/green so I picked jungle fabric and brown as the coordinating fabric.

I really love these canopies. I'm hoping that once we clean out the shop, I can put some in there to sell in sets with the boppy cover, a changing pad, maybe a nursing cover, and a few other assorted things I've dreamed up for little people.

That's about all I've completed lately. I started working on a new bed for Raj (new house = new bed!) and a state bag for a giveaway. I have a few other things on the cutting table, but I need to pack first and reward myself with sewing. :)

I hope you're all having a great week!

Foodie Linky Party!

Hi there! here is a quick and cheap pasta recipe my toddler is crazy about.

Creamy Tomato Soup Noodles.

1 box of pasta ( I use whatever I have around)
1 can tomato soup
4oz cream cheese

So its this simple. Boil the noodles, drain, put them back in the pan over low heat. Add can of soup and cream cheese and stir until its combined evenly. Enjoy!

We would love for you to link up and recipes or anything food related.

Have a great weekend!

Made it Monday

Just stopping in to share a few things I've been working on.

First of all, Meig and I both made Ruffle clutches following Kate's pattern from See Kate Sew.

                                                                    Here is mine

                                                                   Here is Meig's

I have also been playing around with covered buttons just because they are quick and fun.

We had a request for 3 fish zipper pouches so here are these little cuties. I love making them and would welcome any color combo request :)

And last but not least a crocheted hair tie bow. I have been making a few of these to put in the shop soon in different colors.

Well that's what I've been working on. Have a great week everyone!

Foodie Friday: Creamy Garlic Pasta

Hi guys!! I want to share this AMAZING recipe that I've made twice this week. Yes, I said twice. It was so good the first time that I had to make it again!!

The recipe is called Creamy Garlic Pasta. Now where can you go wrong with that?! Nowhere, that's where!

Creamy Garlic Pasta
2 tsp olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp butter
¼  tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
3 cups chicken stock
½ lb spaghetti or angel hair pasta
1 cup grated parmesan cheese
¾ cup heavy cream
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
In a pot, bring the olive oil to medium-low heat. Add the garlic and stir, allowing it to cook for 1-2 minutes. Mix in the butter until melted. Add the salt, pepper and chicken stock. Raise the heat to high and let it come to a boil.
Once it is at a rolling boil, add the pasta and cook for as long as the box’s directions indicate. Reduce the stove to medium heat and mix in the parmesan until completely melted. Turn off the heat and stir in the cream and parsley. Serve immediately.
So simple!! One pot and delicious! :)

I hope you're all having a splendid week and have a very happy Easter. I will be up at 5:30 for the sunrise service at church on Sunday and it is the only time of the year that I willingly get up that early in the morning without grumps because I love that service.

Made it Monday

Happy Monday! Just kidding, is anyone excited its Monday? eh.....

It has been about two weeks since I have posted on here, With the lack of time I have had to make the decision between crafting or blogging and since I participated in 2 swaps in March I couldn't put off the crafting part.

Here is another apron, I made this one from an upcycled sheet, its so soft I hope the little girl who gets it loves it.

I made a sewing machine mat, first time using quitling batting and I can't decide if I liked or hated it. I really love the finished product but since I have no experince quilting it was a little tough to work with. I like the pockets a lot, they hang over the edge.

A little felt hair bow.

And a crocheted hair flower with a button center.

Well that's what I've been working on lately, a few more things I can't show because its a suprise! Stay tuned. :) Have a great week everyone!
